Coaches

Lindsay Stamper

Head CoachLindsay started with the Calgary Dolphins in 2013.
Her aquatics experiences include swim instructing, lifeguarding, coaching and physiotherapist, specializing in water therapy.
Lindsay graduated from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Sociology degree and is currently finishing her Bachelor of Education degree at St. Mary’s University

Shannon Fetting

Assistant Coach Shannon started volunteering with the Dolphins in 2014.
She has had a love for water since her early childhood days. Before immigrating from South Africa to Canada she was on numerous swim teams, once in Canada she broke a swim record while on her High School Swim Team.
Her aquatic experience includes lifeguarding, swimming lessons, coaching a Jr. Masters club and recently working with a physiotherapist specializing in water therapy.
Shannon recently graduated from SAIT with an Administrative Information Management Diploma.

Zoee Fenelon

Assistant CoachZoée only started coaching with the Dolphins in September 2015, but it is no surprise that she loves what she is doing!She is a fully certified pool and waterfront lifeguard, swim instructor and an Aquafit instructor.
For many years she swam competitively with the Chilliwack Spartans, but is now looking at passing on her passion for swimming endless laps to all her swimmers.
Outside of the pool, Zoée loves hanging out with friends and family, riding horses, snowboarding, and hiking in the mountains.
She is a St. Mary’s University Bachelor of Biological Sciences graduate, and will be graduating from the Bachelor of Elementary Education Degree in 2019.

Matthew Keller

Assistant CoachMatthew started coaching with the Dolphins in 2015.
Matthew is a former competitive swimmer who competed at the national level. After his swimming career, he taught swimming lessons and lifeguarded while studying commerce at the University of Alberta.
Matthew is happy he can share his passion for the sport through coaching the Dolphins.

Alexandra MacQuarrie

Assistant Coach
My name is Ali MacQuarrie and I love anything that involves water! From surfing to Scuba diving I do it all. I started coaching with the Dolphins Swim Club in 2018
I come from a competitive swim and lifeguarding background and have swam for teams in both Regina and Winnipeg. I currently work in graphic design as well as teach private swimming lessons to all ages.
I live with my husband and our two French bulldogs (who cannot swim very well!) Lotte and Finnley. When I am not in the water I like to knit, practice yoga and spend time with my family.

Ethan Boechler

Assistant Coach Ethan became involved in teaching and coaching swimming in the summer of 2014 as a swim instructor at the Crowfoot YMCA. He co-found and wrote the curriculum for the Y-Swim abilities swimming program which currently operates under the name "Just Keep Swimming". Ethan became involved with the dolphins two seasons ago as a volunteer while his sister Rachel was a swimmer on the team. He is currently a sciences student at the University of Calgary, with aspirations of becoming a Pediatrician working with young athletes and youth with Downs Syndrome.


Gillian Stamper

Assistant Coach
Gillian started coaching with the Dolphins Swim Club in 2018.
She has a background of a competitive swimmer, lifeguard, swim instructor, and competitive soccer player. Gillian is currently studying at Mount Royal University for a Criminal Justice degree.
She has had lots of experience working for the City of Calgary in youth development as well as various programs at Westside Recreation Centre.
In her spare time Gillian loves skiing, snowboarding, and hanging out with friends.
Lindsey RanksAssistant Coach
Lindsey grew up competitive swimming and springboard diving in Calgary at a young age.
Later, she lived in Maui, Hawaii, and took up surfing, scuba and free diving with a mermaid tail. She spent many summers in a lifeguard camp that shadowed beach front lifeguards.
After returning to Calgary, Lindsey received a job with the City of Calgary as a swim instructor and lifeguard, and currently working at Repsol Sport Centre as a lifeguard, swim coach, lifesaving and swimming instructor.
When she isn’t at the pool, Lindsey spends time with her family on their ranch out by Millarville, riding her horse Rooster, or camping and fly fishing on the weekends. Lindsey is in her second year at the Alberta University of the Arts, with hopes of becoming a Prop Master and working on TV shows and film sets one day.
